Model 149
The ultra-handy splicer for synthetics up to 7000 tex.
Airbond already leads the world in splicers for the glass and carbon fibre business, with its pioneering 113,114 and 701 models. Now the company’s latest patented technology is set to transform the business. The 149 simplifies the splicing action even further, permitting a design which can be used in the smallest spaces. The 149 is as effective and versatile as our old ones, joining a huge range of counts in modern fibres. It’s lighter and handier than anything Airbond has made before. And as with the 701, the working parts are protected from the wear and tear, safe inside an impact-resistant shell.
The 149 represents a leap forward in design, matching or out-performing all others in one simple, elegant package. Strengths of 90 per cent of the parent yarns are easily attainable, in a remarkably widest range of counts, considering the size of the splicer. And, like other splicers in the Airbond range, the 149 is rugged, reliable and simple to maintain.
